Quebra-Quebra da Quarta Parede is the printed edition of 4th Wall Brawl, a webcomic that plays with the metalanguage of comics by having its characters fall out of their own panels and climb up the page. The comic was born in Webtoon’s vertical, endless-scroll format, and the book reproduces that same logic: instead of separate pages, it’s a single continuous strip, printed 8 centimeters wide by 5 meters tall.
Script by Lucio Luiz, art by Flávio Luiz, finishes and lettering by Flavio Soares, and colors by Marco Pelandra and Will Rez. The original English-language version was submitted to a 2022 Webtoon contest for action comics built around a fight between characters.
UOL’s Hábito de Quadrinhos column described the book as a five-meter scroll the reader has to unroll to follow the story: highlighting the comic’s metalanguage twist as part of the fun.
