Meninos e Dragões came back in 2018, six years after its debut, when Lucio Luiz and Flavio Soares relaunched the series through Jupati Books. This first volume, The Great Hunter, adopts an album format with a self-contained story and a completely redesigned look for the characters compared to the 2013 version. The story still takes place in the Kingdom of Odilon, a medieval land where knights, dragons, and fairies live alongside video games, skateboarding, soccer, and other very modern references, following Rodrigo, Tobias, Princess Amanda, and the baby dragon Foguinho.
Script by Lucio Luiz, art by Flavio Soares, colors by Omar Viñole, and lettering by Flavio Soares. The volume was a finalist for the HQ Mix Trophy for Best Children’s Publication in 2019.
